A new building was created in 1905 and the acreage reduced to just under 100. In 1911 ornamental lakes were created to store flood water before pumping it back to sea. | |
| In 1934 Simpson & Co, Golf Architects Ltd re-designed the course and relayed the green. They compared some areas with St Andrews numbers 12, 13, 14, 16 and 17. which are now 10, 12, 14, 16, 2 and 4. | ||
| The course is reputed to lie on the original bed of the River Conwy where the Welsh Prince Madoc set sail to America in 1170 AD, over 300 years before Columbus. |
